The deadline to announce your intention to run in the 2006 election for IAFC second vice president or to alter, amend or revise the IAFC constitution and by-laws is February 1, 2006. At this time, there are three candidates who have announced for second vice president and no proposed ballot amendments.
If you plan to run in this year’s election or you are interested in getting information on running in future elections, please contact the Election Committee chair, Chief Michael Chiaramonte, at 516/887-3292. All candidates for 2006 must submit their intention to run in writing along with all pertinent documentation by February 1, 2006.
If you plan on submitting a proposed ballot amendment or if you are interested in getting information on how to submit a proposed ballot amendment, please contact the Constitution, By-Laws and Resolutions Committee Chair, Chief Larry Grorud, at 608/755-3051. Members requesting such alteration or revision shall submit their proposal in writing to the IAFC executive director by February 1, 2006 in a form prescribed by the Constitution, By-laws and Resolutions Committee.
