FAIRFAX, Va. - The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) has launched several new discussion forums on its recently enhanced Web site, www.iafc.org. IAFC members can now post and reply to messages and connect with nearly 13,000 fire chiefs and officers from around the world.
The IAFC Discussion Forums may be found at http://www.iafc.org/forum.cfm. Members must be logged in to the IAFC Web site to view and post messages on the forums.
“Our members asked for a way to communicate with each other, and the IAFC responded,” said IAFC President Chief Bill Killen. “Using these simple, topic-specific forums, members can ask questions of their fellow chiefs and officers, get advice, share information and resources and find out what is happening in the fire service all over the world.”
The IAFC Discussion Forums are organized into certain topics:
· EMS Issues: Infection Control, Billing
· Firefighter Safety: Health, Wellness, Equipment Standards, Nutrition
· Fire & Life Safety: Fire Prevention, Building Codes, Fire Safety Education
· Homeland Security/Hazmat/Terrorism: Training, First Responders, Emergency Preparedness
