Emergency Services Expert Recognized for Increasing National Awareness of Challenges to America’s First Responders

Fairfax, Va. - ICF International (NASDAQ: ICFI) has announced that Garry Briese, a vice president working with homeland security and emergency management clients, was honored recently as the 2007 recipient of the Mason Lankford Fire Service Leadership Award at the 19th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner in Washington, D.C. Named after the late J. Mason Lankford, Jr., and sponsored by the Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) and Motorola, Inc., the award recognizes an individual who has been proactive at the local, state, or federal government level to raise awareness of and support for fire and emergency services and life safety issues.

Formerly executive director of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Mr. Briese provided strong leadership to the fire and emergency services nationwide for the past 22 years. Moreover, he has drawn national awareness to the challenges and needs of America’s first responders and has been credited with developing partnerships and programs that have enhanced the unity of the country’s fire service leadership.

“Garry’s vision and leadership over the past 20 years have certainly made an indelible mark on the fire service,” said CFSI President William Jenaway. “My fellow board members and I congratulate him on receiving this award and thank him for the leadership he has provided throughout our nation’s fire and emergency services.”

“This is an extraordinary accomplishment, and we are honored to have Garry as part of the ICF family,” said Sudhakar Kesavan, ICF Chief Executive Officer. “As one of the most innovative leaders in national public safety, Garry is a distinguished professional whose firsthand experience in emergency management and homeland security is an asset to his colleagues and clients alike.”
