St. Louis Fire Department to Receive $10,000 Grant from Liberty Mutual
WHAT: St. Louis Firefighter John Hernandez, Engine Company 32, will receive the Liberty Mutual National Firemark Award for Heroism.
The award includes a $10,000 grant to the St. Louis Fire Department from Liberty Mutual.

WHO: Liberty Mutual executives, along with its committee representing various national fire service organizations, including the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the National Volunteer Fire Council, the National Fire Protection Association, the National Association of State Fire Marshals, and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, will present the National Firemark Award to Firefighter Hernandez.
WHY: The Firemark Award committee selected Firefighter Hernandez for his heroic acts of October 26, 2004, which saved the life of a three-year-old boy trapped in a fatal fire at 3014 Cherokee in St. Louis.
