The International Association of Fire Chiefs and FireRescue Magazine Announce Strategic Alliance

Leveraging strengths of both organizations will result in quicker information delivery; enhanced sales and marketing opportunities

FAIRFAX, Va. - The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) has announced a partnership with FireRescue Magazine, owned by Elsevier Inc. The partnership also includes working with Elsevier’s sister company, Reed Exhibitions, to strengthen the exhibit and sponsorship opportunities at both organizations’ trade shows.

This partnership will create the largest and most comprehensive family of conferences and publications serving the fire and emergency services industry, and will leverage the full spectrum of multimedia, sales and marketing opportunities to support all customers: members, readers, advertisers and exhibitors.

The partnership encompasses publishing, tradeshows, Web initiatives, members’ benefits and exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities. Conference attendees will benefit from an increased range of educational opportunities targeted to meet their needs, and exhibitors and sponsors will have a full range of sales and marketing opportunities through larger and stronger conferences and exhibitions.

The IAFC has been the voice of chief fire officers for the last 132 years. FireRescue Magazine and its parent company, Jems Communications, is recognized as the leading publisher in the field of fire and emergency medical response.

“IAFC members will realize significant benefits from this partnership, including a complimentary subscription to FireRescue Magazine and a discount on its sister magazines, some of the highest quality publications available today,” said IAFC President Chief Bill Killen. “We’re excited to work with FireRescue to provide unparalleled learning opportunities to IAFC members and all of the fire service.”
