Microsoft Joins Forces with ACS to Create Firehouse Management Software

DALLAS, Texas — Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE:ACS), a premier provider of business process outsourcing and information technology solutions, announced today that it has formed an alliance with Microsoft to provide development and marketing resources to deliver its fire department records management system, ACS FIREHOUSE Software(R), on the Microsoft .NET platform. The partnership between ACS and Microsoft was announced at the Microsoft Fire Symposium in Redmond, Washington, and extends the formidable presence of both companies within the first responder and justice and public safety communities.

ACS FIREHOUSE Software is a comprehensive system encompassing fire department management needs from incident reporting and EMS/search and rescue reporting to staff activity and training, as well as apparatus, equipment, and inventory records management. Serving more than 10,000 clients, ACS FIREHOUSE Software is the most widely used fire department records management system in the nation.
