Nichols Trailers Ships 50th Off Road Rescue Trailer

WILTON MAINE- Nichols Trailers of Wilton Maine announced that their 50th Off Road Rescue Unit was shipped to Jekyll Island Fire and EMS in Georgia this past week. Currently Nichols Trailers have units in 22 states including 2 units in Alaska and 2 more in Canadian Provinces.

Company President and past fire chief Gil Reed says,” With more and more people using ATVs for recreation and sport, it’s important for Fire and EMS personnel to be able to get to them should something happen while they are on the trail.”

It seems Fire departments are not the only one’s finding the Nichols trailer useful. Saddleback Mt. Ski area in Saddleback Maine purchased one for use during the summer months. Jim Quimby of Saddleback Mt. said,” in the summer our guys are out on some pretty steep terrain clearing trails and maintaining the slope so with the (Nichols) rescue trailer here, should anything happen, we are able to quickly and safely get the to them and bring them down the mountain. It’s very stable.”
