How to hold a rotary saw

Tips

By Mark van der Feyst

When using a rotary saw for any type of cutting operations, it is important that it be held in a right manner. The rotary saw creates centrifugal force as the blade is spinning at a high rpm.

Saws have a tendency to walk or move away from you as it operates. This only happens when the saw is not being held properly. In order for the saw to work proficiently, it needs to be kept in a 90-degree position or a 180-degree position. Keeping the saw in line will help to make your cuts in line and require less muscle to control the saw.
