DALLAS — A woman was in critical condition after her SUV collided with a Dallas-Fire Rescue truck that was on the scene of an earlier crash Thursday morning in Old East Dallas.

The crash happened about 3:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 near the Winslow overpass. Dallas-Fire Rescue Truck 19 was rendered undriveable after the crash.

Katelyn Buis, 21, was arrested and taken to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She faces a charge of driving while intoxicated, police said.

Buis reportedly was speeding before the crash occurred. No firefighters were injured, and there were no injuries reported in the earlier crash, police said.

Eastbound lanes of I-30 were closed until about 6:30 a.m. while a tow was arranged for the fire truck.
