Calif. FFs honor fallen brother with dedicated work out regime

The Stoke workout consists of eight rounds of seven deadlifts, 26 lunges and 18 pushups, followed by a two-mile run with a 25-pound weight vest

REDDING, Calif. — To honor fallen Redding Firefighter Jeremy Stoke, fellow firefighters created a grueling and special workout in his name.

Redding firefighters posted about the workout on Facebook in honor of Stoke, ABC 7 KRCR News reported.

The post encouraged others to do the Stoke workout, which includes eight rounds of seven deadlifts, 26 lunges and 18 pushups, followed by a two-mile run while wearing a 25-pound weight vest.

Stoke died battling the Carr Fire in July 2018. Reports obtained by the Chronicle stated a fire tornado with the force of 165 mph winds killed him.
