“I’m in stable condition and have a few fractures. But I am staying strong. Thank you everyone for the support. I love you all,” Mack said on Facebook. “It’s overwhelming all the kind words I am getting. I will recover, and I will be back to fight some more. And that is a promise.”

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser is set to be held to support Mack’s medical bills on March 13 at the fire department.
