Firefighters used airbags to lift the train for enough clearance to remove the victim

DALLAS — Firefighters pulled a person free after becoming trapped under a DART train Wednesday night in Downtown Dallas.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. at the West End DART station in the 700 block of Pacific Avenue, officials said.

Firefighters used airbags to lift the train for enough clearance to remove the victim, who was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition and whose name was not released.
