NEW YORK — FDNY firefighters had to physically move an SUV blocking the exit of Ladder 25’s firehouse in Manhattan after it was parked in a no-standing zone directly across from the station.
Video footage from Skyler Fire shows the vehicle obstructing the path of the ladder truck, prompting firefighters to use a set of car dollies to push it out of the way.
The blockage caused the unit to miss two calls on May 19: a working fire on 125th Street and a relocation assignment to Ladder Company 30’s quarters.
The SUV was parked in an area marked by a “No Standing” sign, directly impeding emergency response operations.
