Pa. ambulance honoring fallen heroes unveiled

The Commonwealth Health ambulance features the names of 25 first responders and military members who lost their lives in the line of duty

SCRANTON, Pa. — A hospital system unveiled their new ambulance that honors fallen heroes.

WNEP reported that Commonwealth Health’s newest emergency vehicle features the names of 25 first responders, military members and other heroes from Lackawanna and Luzerne counties who gave their lives in the line of duty.

David Duchnik, Sr.’s son, David Duchnik, Jr. died in 2016 while cleaning up a vehicle crash on the highway. His name is one of the many honored on the rig.

“This is an amazing tribute that Commonwealth did to get this out here for all the heroes that lost their lives helping others. That’s all David ever did, my son, was help others,” Duchnik, Sr. said.
