MARKED TREE, Ark. — A northeast Arkansas firefighter suffered minor injuries while fighting a blaze in Marked Tree that spread to three buildings.
An official says the 32-year-old Tyronza firefighter had “severe pain in his right heel” after he lost his balance on a nearby roof and fell 16 feet.
Firefighters say the blaze started Saturday afternoon at the Healing Worship Center. Investigators say the fire likely was caused by a flammable oil-based paint used on the floors.
Firefighters believe no one was in the buildings when the blaze started.
