DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — A former town firefighter who allegedly stole $200 from the fire station is expected to make his initial appearance Monday in 13th District Court.
Alan Willis, 21, of Sebec was charged in connection with the theft, which occurred late last month, according to Police Chief Dennis Dyer.
Police also were informed that keys to local businesses that were held by the Fire Department in case of fire also were missing. Willis told police that he did not know anything about the missing keys, Dyer said.
A day or two after the money was discovered missing, H & R Block was entered with a key and $50 was taken, according to the police chief.
All of the businesses were notified by Dover-Foxcroft Fire Chief Joe Guyotte about the theft of the keys, he said.
