2 Okla. FFs burned in truck rollover

A fundraiser has drawn more than $32,000 for volunteer firefighters Jason Smith and Tyler Morris

BALKO, Okla. — A fundraiser is in full swing to help two volunteer firefighters who were injured Tuesday while working at the Beaver River Fire, KVII reported.

The two Balko volunteer firefighters, Jason Smith and Tyler Morris, suffered burns after their truck rolled over.

The firefighters were transported to the UMC Burn Center in Lubbock.

A GoFundMe account was set up early Wednesday and, as of this writing, had raised more than $32,000 for the firefighters.

The Booker Fire Department from just over the border in Texas has been assisting with the Beaver River Fire, which has burned more than 23,000 acres, according to the Oklahoma Forestry Services.
