HAVERTOWN, Pa. — Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce recently paid a visit to the Brookline Volunteer Fire Company in Havertown to show support for a fire department family who lost a relative to cancer.

Jess Viola said the NFL brothers visited the firehouse, where her husband and father-in-law are both members, after learning about her brother-in-law Brendan McDermott’s death, KARE11 reported.

Brendan died in 2023, nearly five years after he was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer.

“Jason and Travis were both so nice, normal and hilarious,” Viola said. “You can tell they are the kind of people who never forgot where they came from and are super down to earth.”

Viola presented them with a hat for #TeamRectify, the family’s Cycle for Survival team, raising money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s rare cancer fundraising program.

“Jason and Travis both put their hats right on and were so sweet when listening to the story about Brendan,” Viola said. “Brendan was a diehard Philadelphia sports fan and I have no doubt he is smiling down right now and so happy his favorite Eagles player and his superstar brother are rocking the hats he was so incredibly proud of. They truly were both so incredibly nice.”

While at the firehouse, Jason kept his word about making a dramatic entrance for a new episode of the podcast “New Heights” by jumping onto a burning table, DELCO.TODAY reported.

“I’m Jason Kelce. Welcome to ‘New Heights,’” Kelce said before jumping off a Brookline fire truck and onto the burning table.
