NEW YORK — The infant daughter of an FDNY firefighter has died from COVID-19 complications.

Jay-Natalie La Santa, who would have been five months old next week, died Monday, according to the FDNY Hispanic Society. Her father, FDNY Firefighter Jerel La Santa, had recently joined the department.

“Called ‘Warrior princess,’ a title given to her by her Father Jerel, for her fighting spirit against the horrible covid-19 Virus,” FDNY Hispanic Society President Jose A.
