TULSA, Okla. — Members of the Tulsa Fire Department offered emotional support to a fellow firefighter hospitalized with COVID-19.

Due to limited visitation, TFD firefighters parked a fire apparatus in the parking lot, turned the lights and sirens on and climbed on top, according to Facebook post by the department.

“This is a photo taken from the window of a Tulsa firefighter’s hospital room who is currently fighting COVID,” the post read. “His fellow firefighters took the fire truck to the parking lot of the hospital and turned on the lights and sirens so he would feel encouraged.”
