HENRICO, Va. —Two firefighters went out of their way to make sure a disabled person got home safely.
The Henrico County Division of Fire firefighters responded to a call about a person with a wheelchair that had malfunctioned in a Target parking lot, according to a Facebook post by the department.
Transport services could not be reached, so the firefighters pushed the person almost a mile home.
“I had the honor of witnessing this,” Facebook user Jenna Lewis Dukes said. “Thank you, Station 21 for going above and beyond to make sure our residents are safe!”
