OWASSO, Okla. — Four Oklahoma firefighters were injured in an explosion at a house fire on Thursday that killed one resident.

Owasso firefighters responded to the blaze Thursday night and rescued a woman who was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to KTUL.

Firefighters then attempted to rescue a man who was still in the house when an explosion occurred, killing the man. Four firefighters were transported to the hospital following the blast; their conditions are currently unknown.

Investigators said an oxygen tank was likely the cause of the explosion. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
