HARRISBURG, Pa. — A woman was sentenced in a crash that resulted in the death of a fire lieutenant as he was on his way to a call.
CBS Pittsburgh reported that Khanyae Kendall, 19, was sentenced five to 12 years in state prison in the March 2017 crash that killed Lt. Denny DeVoe, who was responding to a fatal hoverboard fire that killed two children.
Kendall was accused of being high on PCP in a reportedly stolen vehicle when she ran a stop sign and struck Lt. DeVoe’s vehicle.
She was convicted of vehicular homicide and homicide by vehicle while under the influence in February.
