PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A firefighter was captured on film reuniting a woman with an urn that contained the remains of her recently deceased daughter after an apartment fire.
Forbes reported that photographer Matthew Donovan was getting footage of firefighters as they battled a blaze at an apartment complex when he saw firefighter Terrell Paci holding an urn.
Paci was then photographed as he handed the urn to resident Michelle Cordeiro, who touched his shoulder in appreciation as she clutched the urn to her chest.
“I asked everybody I saw in charge if they could find my daughter for me, and they brought her out,” Cordeiro said.
Cordeiro added that her daughter, Danielle Cordeiro, recently died in March.
