DELAWARE CITY, Del. — Funeral services have been set for after the holidays for the Delaware City firefighter who died this week, the victim of a hit-and-run crash.
The line-of-duty death services for Michelle L. Smith are being coordinated by the fire company, members of the Delaware Fire Chief’s Association and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, said Dave Carpenter Jr., the fire company’s spokesman.
A viewing will be Jan. 4, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Delaware City Fire Company Memorial Hall, 815 Fifth St.
