Manufacturer Invites You to Raise Your Game and Will Make Donation in Your Name

Pittsfield, NH - Globe Manufacturing Company will demonstrate new turnout gear that is lighter and more flexible at FDIC. The nation’s largest training conference and exhibition is being held April 7-12 at the Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Globe’s booth (#2211) is located in Hall D at the Indiana Convention Center.

At FDIC, Globe will unveil innovative new materials that join the PBI Lightweight Gold™ System and G-XTREME® as lighter and more flexible without compromising protection and durability. G-XTREME® is less restrictive by design and, unique to Globe, comes in multiple shapes to fit you better. Globe will also unveil several new styles of value-priced to premium performance turnout gear that complete a full range of offerings.

Globe will kick off its partnership with the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund at the Globe booth. Test the new gear for yourself on the Firefighter Athletic Circuit and Globe will make a $10 donation to the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund in your name.

Terry Farrell was a father, a husband, a brother, and a dedicated firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001, during the World Trade Center attack. Among the 343 heroes who died that day, he was in Tower Two when it collapsed. A decorated member of Rescue 4/FDNY and chief of the Dix Hills Volunteer Fire Department, Terry was a devoted firefighter who embodied the spirit of courage and giving. The Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund was established in his memory to assist firefighters and families across the nation with financial, educational and medical support, and to provide equipment donations for fire departments in need.

“At Globe, we are committed to protecting firefighters and also to giving back to the fire service,” said Rob Freese, senior vice president of marketing at Globe Manufacturing Company. “Not only will we donate $10 to the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund for everyone who goes through the Firefighter Athletic Circuit in our booth, but we have designed a new commemorative turnout and will donate a portion of the proceeds from every suit sold to the Fund.” Globe’s supplier partner, 3M, will match Globe’s donation for every suit sold.

Also at FDIC, in partnership with DuPont Protection Technologies, Globe will showcase a new style of turnout gear that will be offered to National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) members at a special discount. This is in addition to the 2014 Globe Gear Giveaway Program which, for the third year, will help resource-constrained fire departments who are NVFC members obtain critically needed turnout gear.
