VAN WERT, Ohio — Braun Industries, Inc., manufacturer of high-quality, hand-crafted ambulances, will unveil its 5,000th production unit during the Fire-Rescue International Conference, Aug. 11-16, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colo.
Braun, which built its first ambulance more than 30 years ago in 1972, will debut this summer its 5,000th unit – a custom-built Super Chief ambulance for the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department of Miami, Fla.
A premier, medium-duty ambulance, Braun’s Super Chief offers a large interior with more than 73 inches of headroom and storage areas to house equipment. The module will be mounted on the Spartan Furion chassis, which features a cab-over-engine design that delivers increased visibility, maneuverability and interior space for up to six crew members.
The ambulance features a special red and white color scheme and was built for Miami-Dade Station 3, which honors the heroes of the Fire Department of New York City who lost their lives during Sept. 11. Station 3 ambulances are the only red and white units in Miami-Dade’s fleet.
Please join Braun Industries for a press conference to celebrate the 5,000th unit on Friday, Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. The press conference will take place in Braun’s booth #1716 at the Fire-Rescue International Conference.
