Panasonic has just announced that the Toughbook 31 is more durable than ever, with an 18-hour battery life (or 27 hours with an optional second battery) and a design that withstands a 6-foot drop.

Other features include a new 5th generation Intel Core i5 processor plus Intel HD Graphics 5500, a magnesium alloy case, sunlight viewable touchscreen, reinforced locking port covers and a quick-release hard drive with its own heater for cold weather operation.

Their most recent updates yield improved connectivity and significant performance boosts over the previous model, and is certified to pass 19 different MIL-STD-810G tests.

It has also received an IP65 rating for protection from water and dust.

The updated Toughbook 31 will be available in February starting at $3,699 with a 3 year limited warranty.
