The Last Chance Rescue Filter, an SCBA back-up filter for firefighters in out of air emergencies will be available for sale at FDIC, booth #5422 (Maryland St. Entrance hallway of the Convention Center). This air purifying escape respirator has been extensively tested by independent third party laboratories as well as live subjects (test data found at www.lastchancefilter.com). The LCRF has a shelf life of 5-½ years from the date of manufacture. It’s vacuum sealed in a moisture resistant barrier pouch which is then inside a Nomex carry case. The filter attaches directly to the firefighters SCBA mask and offers 15 minutes of protection against exposure to toxic gases in fire and smoke emergency situations. It’s easy to use, easy to carry and affordable. A firefighter can train and do everything right and still face an out of air emergency.
