Industry’s First Complete, Pre-Engineered Fire Suppression Delivery System to be Unveiled at FDIC 2010

Hale and Task Force Tips

INDIANAPOLIS — Hale and Task Force Tips will launch SafeBuy, a new concept in vehicle-mounted fire suppression systems, at the upcoming FDIC show, April 19-24 in Indianapolis (Booth 1308). SafeBuy is a complete suppression agent delivery system designed from the ground up to support firefighter safety.

SafeBuy is a system of critical fire suppression components that have been pre-engineered to work together to ensure an uninterrupted flow of suppression agent. From pump to nozzle — including the pump house, hoses, monitors, valves, safety devices, diagnostics, and plumbing — SafeBuy reduces the risk of firefighter injury and property damage. The system also minimizes purchase risk because it is certified to perform as required, and it is backed by Hale’s five-year warranty.

Hale and Task Force Tips developed SafeBuy in response to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s nationwide call for increased firefighter safety — the “Courage to Be Safe” campaign. The campaign introduced 16 safety initiatives, with the last initiative directed at fire industry OEMs, “Safety must be a primary consideration in the design of apparatus and equipment.”

“We’ve worked to make the SafeBuy system as simple to operate as possible,” said Bruce Lear, Hale’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Firefighters need to focus on stabilizing incidents, not operating apparatus. They can only do that if they trust their equipment, and they can only trust their equipment if all the components were engineered and tested together as a complete system.”
