LOS ANGELES — The body of fallen firefighter Capt. Tedmund Hall is being escorted through Los Angeles to a mortuary in Victorville.

Hall’s body was driven through the command center Friday in a white hearse while hundreds of firefighters saluted by the roadside.

With heads bowed, the firefighters listened solemnly Friday at the fire’s command center as commanders and others recalled the lives of Capt. Tedmund Hall and Specialist Arnaldo Quinones.

Hall and Quinones were killed Sunday when their fire truck fell off a mountainside while trying to escape flames that had overrun their camp.

Quinones’ body was transferred Thursday to a mortuary in Lancaster. Los Angeles County fire Capt. Roland Sprewell says both bodies will be held in the mortuaries until a memorial is held Sept. 12 in Dodger Stadium.
