LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Six Arkansas firefighters were injured Thursday when two engines collided responding to the same call.

The two Little Rock Fire Department engines collided at an intersection near the University of Arkansas Little Rock campus, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Little Rock Fire Capt. Doug Coffman said the six firefighters were treated at the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Both engines were taken out of service due to heavy damage and will be replaced with reserve engines, according to Coffman.

Coffman said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
