ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida fire chief died after being struck by a log truck while responding to a fatal motorcycle crash.
Chief Dwain S. Bradshaw, 41, was at Muscogee Bridge responding to the scene shortly after 3:50 a.m. when he was struck by the 18-wheeler, FirefighterCloseCalls.com reported. He was airlifted to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck, which came to a rest on its side in a wooded area, was not believed to be seriously injured.
Bradshaw served as district chief at Bellview Fire Station and assistant chief at Beulah Fire Station.
