In the health and safety world, we refer to links of the chain. The links of the chain show that everyone is involved in the chain of safety.
In the fire service, this is especially true as every firefighter and officer is responsible for the safety of those in the service. Be one of the links. Without all of the links performing as one chain, the safety level of that department, crew, station house or individual will decrease.
