FRANKLIN, Tenn. — A firefighter was seriously injured Tuesday in a training exercise, NewsChannel5 reported.
Officials with the Franklin Fire Department said the firefighter fell two stories from a roof at the Franklin Fire Department Training Center. The firefighter had climbed a ladder from the ground to the second-story roof when the accident occurred. Franklin Fire Chief Glenn Johnson said the firefighter was injured while moving from the ladder to the roof.
A Williamson Health EMS crew transported the firefighter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment, where he is currently in stable condition.
The City of Franklin and the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the accident.
