DURHAM, N.C. — A firefighter died and two others were injured while battling a structure fire in Durham on Oct. 8, the Durham Fire Department confirmed.
WRAL reported the two injured firefighters are expected to be okay.
The fire was reported in the 400 block of Marly Drive near South Miami Boulevard.
Deputy Chief Chris Iannuzzi asked that the community keep the family, the firefighting community, and friends and relatives of the deceased and injured firefighters in their thoughts.
