Duty Death: Ken Hood - [Quincy]

QUINCY, Calif. — An assistant fire chief died Wednesday after falling ill at a multi-agency meeting.
A USFA fatality announcement said California Office of Emergency Services Assistant Fire Chief Ken Hood was at a multi-agency coordination meeting when he suffered an acute medical emergency.
The Quincy Fire Department immediately began treating him, as well as other public safety professionals who were attending the meeting.
Hood was transported to the hospital, where he died hours later.
