BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport firefighter is dead after a rock-climbing incident.
Pump Engineer Stephen Buda joined the fire department in the summer of 2013 and served the city for eight years.
“Stephen’s passing was due to injuries caused while enjoying a favorite hobby ... rock climbing,” the fire department posted on Facebook Tuesday afternoon. “Stephen leaves behind a wife and two children. We will all miss him very much.”
