EMMITSBURG, Md. — Earlier this week, honor guard members raised and lowered 144 U.S. flags over the National Fallen Firefighter Memorial.
The flags, which also were flown over the U.S. Capitol, will be presented to the families of fallen firefighters during Memorial Weekend.
