GILBERT, Ariz. — Gilbert Fire & Rescue, in collaboration with Pierce Manufacturing, held a traditional push-in ceremony for the department’s brand-new Pierce Volterra electric pumper on Oct. 27, at Gilbert Fire Station No. 2.
The Volterra electric pumper for Gilbert Fire & Rescue joins the ranks of Pierce’s electric fire trucks in the City of Madison, Wisconsin Fire Department and the City of Portland, Oregon Fire and Rescue. These diverse locations have a wide range of climates, providing an opportunity for Pierce to gather valuable vehicle performance data for the Volterra electric fire truck across various environmental conditions.
