STOCKTON, Calif. — Stockton firefighters quickly extinguished an attic fire at a home on East Taylor Street on May 15, after Engine 12 arrived first and found a working fire.
Crews confirmed everyone was out of the home before opening a small hole in the second-floor ceiling to locate the fire. The department said firefighters initially limited the opening to restrict airflow into the attic while charging an attack line.
Once the hoseline was ready, crews enlarged the opening to reach the flames and knocked down the fire.
