SNOQUALMIE, Wash. — A volunteer firefighter’s surprise marriage proposal has gone viral in less than 24 hours.
KIRO TV reported that Marshall Griffin, with the Snoqualmie Fire Department, teamed up with his colleagues to ask his girlfriend for her hand in marriage.
The video of the proposal has gotten more than 19,000 views on Facebook.
Griffin told his girlfriend, Lia, that the city was filming a training video for the department and invited her to come watch. In reality, the entire thing was an elaborate marriage proposal.
In the video, another firefighter holds up a giant banner that says, “Lia, will you marry me?” And, of course, she said yes.
