CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A fire threatened to destroy a home Saturday, but was put out by firefighters in about 10 minutes.
The owners of the home at 1000 Green Valley Drive were not present at the time of the blaze, but firefighters did save their pets.
“There were a couple of dogs in the house we got out,” Battalion Chief Jim DeVisser said.
The home had smoke damage throughout and fire damage to one room, he said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
