KEIZER, Ore. — Firefighters rescued a homeowner trapped in a wall inside his burning home on Tuesday.
The man had called 911 and sought refuge in his bathroom when he attempted to kick through the drywall to escape to an adjacent room and got stuck, according to KGW.
Keizer firefighters found thick black smoke inside the home upon arrival and found the homeowner in the wall.
Crews rescued him by pushing him through the wall and were later commended by fire officials for the rescue.
The man was transported to a local hospital where his condition was not immediately known.
