DAYTON, Ohio — A contractor for the city of Dayton was rescued by the Dayton Fire Department after he fell about 15 feet into a cleansing pit at the Miami Water Treatment Plant on Chuck Waggoner Lane.
The contractor was rigging his safety equipment with other workers when he fell, according to District Fire Chief Barry Baldwin.
Firefighters were able to use some of the worker’s equipment to retrieve him from the pit.
The unidentified man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. His injuries were not disclosed.
