The IAFC’s Technology Summit International (TSI) returns Dec. 9-11 in Irving, Texas. This year, we’re opening the doors for first responders, researchers and startups to take center stage.

| WEBINAR: Tech-driven tactics: Innovating incident command for safer firefighting

Here are three unique ways to get involved:

1. First Responder Innovation Award

Are you a first responder using technology to solve real-world challenges? We’re looking for eight agencies to take the stage for a main-stage pitch. Share how you’re driving innovation in your department and showcase your work for the 2025 TSI Innovation Award in front of your peers. (Apply here.)

2. Academia and research showcase

Are you a student or researcher shaping the future of fire service? Present your work through a poster session and brief talk to the TSI community. (Apply to present here.)

3. Startup Shark Tank pitch

Builders, disruptors and doers… this is your stage. If your technology is redefining public safety, pitch your solution to the leaders who actually use it. There are business development opportunities available to all Shark Tank participants, and we look forward to hearing your ideas. (Pitch your ideas here.)

All submissions end Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025.

What is TSI?

TSI is where fire and EMS services meet technology with real learning you can bring back home. It isn’t your standard expo-floor experience. Leading technology partners attend, but real value comes from sessions where you can dig in — with hands-on, face-to-face and problem-focused experiences. This is your chance to test tools, question experts and explore opportunities and challenges with the brightest minds in the fire service.

Why you should attend TSI

  • Discover how departments are leveraging technology to drive efficiency without compromising operations
  • Hear voices from the field: learn from firefighters, medics and chiefs already using technology to improve safety and outcomes
  • Participate in hands-on workshops: AI, wearables, drones, GIS, risk reduction—delivered in ways that reflect real fire service needs
  • Engage in straight talk with experts: no sales pitches, just honest conversations with leaders who understand your challenges
  • Focus on forward-thinking topics: situational awareness, interoperability, wellness and other key areas

What you’ll take away

No fluff. No filler. Just real value. This is your chance to question, challenge and collaborate. Whether you’re exploring new ideas or driving change in your department, TSI 2025 is where innovation meets real-world leadership in the fire service. Secure your spot and register today.

Survey results reveal why many fireground tools struggle to gain traction — and what it takes for technology to become part of standard operations
