A Bronx fire that left a toddler dead yesterday may have been deliberately set, officials said.
The two-alarm blaze broke out just after 7 a.m. inside a six-story apartment building on Jesup Place in Morris Heights. A toddler who lived on the fifth floor, identified as 2-year-old Amanda Adjivon, was pronounced dead at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
Last night, police said a woman was being questioned about the fire, which may have been set during a dispute with her boyfriend.
Ms. Adjivon’s father, who was injured in the fire, was listed in serious condition yesterday.
