CALERA, Ala. — A lawsuit seeking $12 million in damages has been filed by the mother of a Calera firefighter who was killed on duty in a wreck.

The wrongful death suit filed by Joyce Roy in Shelby County Circuit Court last week is against an Illinois firm and the drivers of two vehicles involved in the Nov. 28 crash.
