BELMONT, N.H. — As calls for emergency services continue to soar, an independent company recommended the town could consider regionalization to meet it future needs.
Overall, the the Public Safety Research Group of Phoenix, Ariz., gave the department high grades and said it is well-positioned due to the excellent resource of the Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid Association, has an “enthusiastic and dedicated work force,” and because of a strong contingent of paid call firefighters.
The fire department study was authorized at last year’s town meeting and cost $16,450, said Town Administrator K. Jeanne Beaudin.
