HERNANDO, Tenn. — Hernando Fire Chief Hubert Jones was still listed in serious condition Wednesday night at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.
Jones, 59, was transported from Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto late Saturday. He underwent surgery on Sunday and has remained in intensive care. Jones said earlier that his bile duct tube had shut down.
“I’m feeling a little bit better,” he said. “It’s improving each day.”
Jones said hospital personnel have “done a pretty good job,” but they’ve made no guarantee on his discharge date.
“I don’t know when I’ll be coming home,” said Jones. “Friday or Saturday, maybe.”
